Read the Room is built differently. We provide equipment, training and mentorship, then step back — leaving the skills and gear behind so communities can keep learning and teaching each other.

Many talented young people in marginalised communities have a deep connection to music but little access to DJ equipment or mentors. Programmes that do arrive often leave just as fast.

So far, we've reached three communities across Southern Africa: EverGreen (Zimbabwe), Tin House (South Africa), and Vision of Home (Zambia).
